چکیده

Abstract The vastness of the Pacific Ocean, and geographic isolation its island nations, sets stage for critical disconnects between drivers causes climate change their local impacts in Island communities. Islands, as elsewhere, face persistent crises at nexus natural human systems that have altered way we interact with our environments, raising challenging questions about how to sustain well-being communities, associated coral reef ecosystems. These ecosystems communities rely on them are “canaries coal mine” biodiversity loss. At same time, scientific, technological, indigenous, social knowledge could contribute sustainable futures often siloed disciplinary well political contexts. It is this arena 4-Site Transect Collaborative seeks work. big question ask is, “What infrastructure needed equitably democratically support Islands societies achieving Sustainable Development Goals promote resilience social-ecological systems”?
